MONTENEGRO
We had allocated a month for camping through Croatia but after three weeks Bol and I found ourselves in Dubrovnik, having visited all the islands that camping was allowed on. After hearing many travellers rave about a place called Montenegro - which we have to admit we had barely even heard of before - we decided to check it out. It is a small country which only became independent from Serbia a year ago, and it is positioned between Bosnia and Albania. To cut a long story short, it is a series of stunning bays with huge mountains as a backdrop. We really couldnĀ“t have found a better place to spend our last week of camping. We found a small village call Morinj in the Bay of Kotor and set up our tent for the last time. Our campsite was very basic (holes in the ground sufficed as toilets!) but its location made up for this, as we were camped right alongside a river and just 20m from the ocean. As usual we spent our days purely relaxing; playing cards, swimming, eating, you get the drift. We also met a great couple from England (Owain and Nicki) who we spent a few days with. I think the photos tell the story ...
